Venture capitalists (“VCs”) are well-known for quickly getting to the point of an issue and hate it when a long winded entrepreneurs can’t reach that same level of verbal clarity. Actually, the more time you spend with VCs, the more you find that their language reflects their action-oriented, time-is-precious mindset. They “drill down” into a business plan, “scrub the numbers” looking for errors in financial statements, and seek the “secret sauce” or proprietary elements of a company’s business model.
